The Yoga Styles I Teach

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa yoga is a creative and dynamic flow class. ‘`Vinyasa’ means ‘connection of movement and breath’ and the practice embodies a continues sequence of consciously, breath-linked postures.

My Vinyasa classes are usually offering different sequences of asanas, as well as creative themes, which are based on the seasons, moon phases, Eastern mythology, Chakras, or opening / strengthening specific parts of the body. Of course, the sequence is always tailored to your needs and interests. The class starts with a short meditation to transition from whatever we were doing before the practice to the here and now. It also includes a creative flow with progressions from simpler to more complex asanas, the subsequent relaxing Savasana as well as short Pranayama session (breathing techniques). I always close with another short meditation.

This class is perfect to initiate the yogic process or progress from the point wherever you are now. You will build physical strength while simultaneously improving your mobility and flexibility. Vinyasa flows will help you to cultivate the awareness of your breath and body, the feeling of pranic energy. Sense the intuitive expression of your being.

Yummy Yin

Yin Yoga is a calm and passive yoga style, which targets the deepest tissues of your body, while relaxing the muscles. The class consist of only a few postures, practiced in seated or laying positions and are held for a longer period of time (3-8 minutes). Connective tissues correspond with the meridians (in Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Nadis (in Vedic & Hindu tradition) – which represent energy channels, running throughout the body. The holding of the postures creates space and relaxation, opens the blockages and releases the energy to let it flow freely.

This class is perfect for the ones, who are willing to slow down, tune into themselves, reduce stress level, experience deep relaxation and open their tight areas. Also suitable for people suffering from injuries or chronic conditions, as well as burnout and depression.

See you on the mat.
